Do you like skiing but hate long drives? If yes, then Campgaw Mountain is perfect ski area for you. Sure it is not 4000 feet mountain but close proximity to NYC makes it very popular destination for one day trips.

This ski area has 1,650-foot chairlift slope with 100% man made snow coverage. There is visitors center with lounge, snack bar and shop where you can purchase or rent ski equipment. Ski lessons are also available.

Cross country skiing in Ramapo Valley County Reservation

Cross country skiing in Palisades Interstate Park

Palisades Interstate Park offers five miles of cross-country ski trails. They vary in length and difficulty. Ski trails are marked A – F and are maintained, but not groomed. Cross-country skiing is also permitted on hiking trails but there are steep and rocky sections so caution is advised.
