			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Palisades Interstate Park is part of more than 100,000 acres of park lands and historic sites managed by the Palisades Interstate Park Commission. NJ section was commission&#8217;s first acquisition after its formation in 1900. Bergen County&#8217; secion is about 12 miles long and about half mile wide. It covers 2,500 acres and has been designated a National Natural Landmark. Here you will find 30 miles of hiking trails, two public boat basins, a boat launching ramp, four riverfront picnic areas, a scenic riverside drive, a cliff-top Parkway with three scenic overlooks, a nature sanctuary, and historic sites. All that just minutes from Manhattan.</p>

<p>Henry Hudson Drive is open to cars and bicycles during daylight hours from mid-April to mid-November. At times the Drive is closed to all vehicles due to tree falls, rock slides or other emergency situations.</p>
